Christmas 2010

Here are some pictures from the Moore family Christmas.....

The two newlywed couples, the new soldier and the bewildered parents.....and Tux!

Dennis with his old school (70's era) army jacket ("oh it has shrunk") teaching Alex how to salute.

One of our activities....lots of fun and sticky mess!

Proud mama (fat tummy!)

Tuxedo

No help for the fat tummy!

We were good! Actually this is all presents for the whole family including Heathers mom (and boyfriend) and dad who spent the day with us.

All my children...including Brent (standing) one of "my boys"

hope you all had a joyful Christmas!!

Nancy turns 50!

The big surprise party...about 25 or so guests picked by my mom and sister Jane. What fun!

It was so fun to have Patt and Larry there as well as my brother Mike.

Ella!

Girls, I've been busy being a grandmother!  Last week I went to Chicago and took care of Ella for a couple of days.  Their babysitter needed some time off.  Justin was out of town so it was a fun spending time with Liz and Ella.  There are always tons of people around when we are with them - it was nice to have some "alone" time.  I came home on Thursday night and we went back to Chicago for the weekend for Ella's baptism.  Here are the photos!

I'm sure that we are all doing the same thing . . .getting ready for Christmas!!  I am decorating my house tomorrow - I don't do much anymore.  Please share pictures of your Christmas trees!  Laurie, will you have a tree this year?  And, share your favorite cookie recipes too!

I checked flights for January.  I would love to come out and spend the weekend with you.  However, I would spend more time flying and in airports than with you!  I will see what the flights look like when it gets closer.

I'm reading Under the Tuscan Sun.  I bought the book ages ago and never read it.  Not sure how I feel about it yet.

Books

Hi girls;

Well, I finished the Mitford series books, nine books, and I've been reading them since Florida on our trip. It was sad to finish them up because I've truly enjoyed them and the characters in them. Pam, I hope you can enjoy them as much as I have!

Dawna and Pam, you told me about the Glass Castle, I just finished it. Like you said, it truly is an unbelievable story. I can't imagine living that life, and it wasn't that long ago either!! WOW is all I can say, I look forward to passing this book on.

Love, Laurie

Next gals weekend

Hi Girls;
I can do either weekend for the next gals trip, they both sound fun. I agree Patt, Cambria is always fun, but I loved coming to your place too!! Two great choices!!

By the way, I tried eyebrow threading instead of waxing, quick and painless!
